Chimney Flue Fire Demonstration
See how the Fire Safety Stick can be deployed into a flue environment and how its potassium-based aerosol rises and suppresses flames by interrupting the chemical reaction of the fire.
Unlike a traditional extinguisher, the Fire Safety Stick can be posted in to the base of the log burner to do its work, slowing or potentially stopping the fire before the Fire & Rescue services arrive.
Customer Chimney Fire Testimonial
When a chimney fire subsequently started in Anthony's home in Ireland, he deployed his Fire Safety Stick into the flue and suppressed the fire before it could develop further
Anthony C. had already purchased a Fire Safety Stick after seeing it demonstrated.
But, i'm sure he was surprised to have need of it soon after, when his chimney flue caught fire. Anthony expressed to Rob Brooks how pleased he was that the Fire Safety Stick was able to save his home and stop the need for the Fire and Rescue services dosuing his home with water down the chimney.
After experiencing the Fire Safety Stick first-hand, Anthony subsequently chose to keep additional units around his home and his car.
Your Log Burner Might Be Why You Buy It. But It Doesn't Have to Stay Beside the Stove.
Designed for Class A, B, C and F fires, plus electrical fires up to 100,000V. So while the HETAS Approval makes it great for log burners, its usefulness doesn't end at the fireplace.

Why Customers Choose the Fire Safety Stick
"We could have lost everything"
Jim Bond
"It was a typical Sunday. My wife and I swere preparing linch, enjoying the usual weekend routine. Suddenly, we noticed the power had gone out. We realised something was wrong almost immediatley. It was terrifying. One minute we were cooking, and the next, there was a fire blazing inside the utility cupboard.
I grabbed the Fire Safety Stick and activated, and within a few seconds, I had the flames completley extinguished.
Without the Fire Safety Stick, we'd have been powerless, just standing there watching our home burn."

Frequently asked questions
What does HETAS Approved mean?
Both the FSS50 and FSS100 have been verified by HETAS against the relevant standards for suitability for use with solid-fuel applications.
HETAS is a not-for-profit organisation.
Visit their website: https://www.hetas.co.uk/
Can the Fire Safety Stick be used during a chimney/flue fire?
HETAS states that, where the user is comfortable and competent and the operating instructions are followed, they may choose to deploy a Fire Safety Stick. Personal safety must always come first.
Can it be used on burning coal or charcoal?
The Fire Safety Stick is not suitable for established coal or charcoal fires (i.e. a fire at the base/fireplace).
If a flue fire does take place, the vapours from the Fire Safety Stick will rise up and interupt the combustion process.
Does it cool the fire?
No. The aerosol interrupts the chemical chain reaction sustaining combustion rather than providing a cooling effect.
Continued application towards the source may therefore be necessary to reduce the risk of re-ignition.
What are the classes of fire it is independently certified for?
The fire classes the Fire Safety Stick is independently certified for are:
- Class A – Solid combustibles such as Paper, Plastic, Textiles, etc.
- Class B – Flammable liquids such as Petrol, Deisel, Alcohol, etc.
- Class C – Flammable gases such as Propane, Methane, etc.
- Class F – Cooking oils and fats (i.e. fires in the kitchen)
- Electrical fires up to 100,000v such as Phone Chargers, Electric Appliances, Desktop Computers, etc.
